Italian Christmas Tradition
Italians usually celebrate Christmas in way that is less
centered around gift-giving and more around the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Christmas season usually begins on December 8, where Italians celebrate
the Immaculate Conception of Mary. The nine days before Christmas, or La
Novena, Italians relect on the journey of the Magi and pray. Italians have a Christmas
Day feast and exchange gifts of much smaller proportions than other Western countries.
